About

Our Philosophy

PLANT BASED

We believe that the food we eat should be good for the body, the planet, and the animals. Replacing meat with plant foods can have an immediate and lasting positive effect on the environment by reducing your carbon footprint. A plant-based diet is high in fiber and provides enough protein for growth and repair. Plants are super-foods: naturally antioxidant, vitamin, and mineral rich.

DIGESTION

Proper food combining is a system of eating foods that combine together efficiently to assist digestion so that your digestive tract does not have to work so hard to give you the nutrients you need for energy. We work to create meals that are well combined and easily digestible so that you are getting the most out of each meal.

NUTRIENT DENSE FOODS

We choose foods that are real and unprocessed. Our meals are nutritionally balanced to include micronutrients, including carbohydrates (both simple and complex), plant proteins, and different types of healthy fats.

Our Ingredients

PLANT PROTEIN

We get our protein from whole foods that are plant-based. Vegetables, grains, nuts, legumes, greens, and seeds all contain significant levels of high quality, clean burning proteins.

GREENS & GOOD FATS

Greens make up the base of every Sprout Kitchen Meal. Greens are a perfect food, high in fiber, low in fat, and extremely nutrient dense.

Healthy fat is an important ingredient at Sprout Kitchen. It is a key to keeping you energized, lean and radiant.

HYDRATING FOODS

Eating your water is the secret behind a youthful glow. Water helps flush out toxins, while hydrating fruits and vegetables help hydrate the cells and leave our insides, as well as our skin, clean and glowing.

Our Packaging

Our 100% compostable food packaging is made from wheatstraw fiber. Wheatstraw is not only an annually renewable resource, but can also be turned into products normally made from plastic or paper. Products like these help save resources keep waste out of landfills and give you a more sustainable choice.

We also use Polyethylene terephthalate (PET or PETE) #1. It doesn’t leach chemicals, and is generally considered the safest single-use plastic-bottle choice. It is also the most desired plastic for recycling.

The type of plastic we use is the most energy efficient. A single plastic bottle uses fewer resources to create, fill, ship, and distribute than a single glass bottle. This is because glass bottles weigh up to nine times more than plastic bottles, and leave a much heavier carbon footprint.
